About Our Farm
Bell’s Estate Hopyard, also affectionately called the “Side Yard”, is located at the end of Krum Avenue right next to the production brewery in Comstock. On the 2.5-acre yard, we grow various hop varieties, including experimentals. These hops are used in several specialty beers, many of which are only available at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe and General Store in Kalamazoo. The hopyard is managed by the Land Steward Team, with supporting help from coworkers all around the brewery. The Bell’s Land Steward Team loves to share the hopyard with guests who attend tours and special events at the brewery. New in 2024, is the “Hopyard Hideaway”, a gathering spot in the center of the Bell’s Estate Hopyard.
